Open Farm Day in Atlantic Canada is the 3rd Sunday of September each year and Good Spring Farm has participated since this event began in 2000. It is a fun opportunity to learn how we farm organically, some techniques and equipment we use, about disease and insect controls and chicken production. Farm marketing, land and environmental issues are part of the conversations.
Farm Tours /Teaching Occasions can be arranged to include schools and other specific groups.
Bringing our organic
products to the
market since 1987
Good Spring Farm was founded by Karen and Brock Davidge in 1980 and was among the first in Atlantic Canada to be certified organic in 1987. Everything we sell is produced here in Keswick Ridge by us and meets or exceeds Canadian Organic Standards. Our current certifier is Trans Canada Certification Services (TCO Cert), as Producer # 60075. We sell mostly at the Boyce Farmers’ Market in Fredericton every Saturday morning throughout the year. We have chickens, eggs, potatoes, mixed vegetables, berries and tree fruit. We also host WWOOFers (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) and have passed on organic farm management skills and techniques to many apprentices. These folks are from all over the world and have enriched our lives.
Where to find our products
Starting in 1980, we have been permanent vendors at Boyce Farmers Market on George St. in Fredericton, New Brunswick. You will find us there year round with our in-season farm products.
